How to Marketize Your Collections by Market
Prerequisites
Before marketizing your collections, set up the Kimonix Collection Extension on your store. Follow the Collection Extension Setup Guide first, then return here to continue with marketization.
Overview
The Markets Integration feature allows you to geo-merchandise collections differently for each market, all within a single Shopify storefront.
This is the first and only plug-and-play solution for market-specific merchandising on Shopify:
- No-code setup
- Fully integrated with your existing Kimonix workflows
- Automatic localized collection experience for each market
With Marketization, you can:
- Show localized product sorting based on each market's inventory, trends, and performance data
- Ensure each market's collection reflects its localized inventory
- Increase conversion rates by showing shoppers what's most relevant to them
Step 1: Enable Marketization
Go to your Kimonix Settings page and scroll to the Markets section.

Enable the following toggles:
- Local Currencies: Display localized currencies in recommendation elements.

- Translations: Use Shopify translations for product and variant titles.

- Marketization: Geo-merchandise collections and recommendations by market.

About the Redirect Toggle
In the Marketization section, you will see a toggle for "Use the redirect method instead of app extensions." This method is not recommended — it redirects customers to separate collection URLs per market, which is slower and less reliable than the default app extension approach. Only enable it if you have a specific reason to do so.
Choose Your Markets
- Select up to 5 markets to target
- Markets are pulled from your Shopify Markets settings
- For each market, you can exclude specific inventory locations to control what is shown where
Step 2: Marketize a Collection
Go to the Collections tab in Kimonix and click the 3-dot menu next to the collection you want to marketize. Select "Marketize this collection."

This creates a local version of the collection for each selected market. The extension automatically serves the right collection version based on the visitor's market.

The original collection remains as the default (global) version. If a shopper is not part of a selected market, they will see the default global collection.
Step 3: Merchandise Per Market
Each marketized collection can now be sorted and optimized separately — whether it's a native Shopify collection or a Kimonix advanced collection.
You can update sorting and inventory filters independently per marketized collection, up to 50 collections.
Available Performance Parameters
When optimizing collections by market, Kimonix uses a curated set of performance and profitability parameters tailored for localized merchandising:
- Page Views, List Views, Views from a Collection, List CTR
- Adds to Cart, Sales (Money), Sales Quantity, Net Sales
- Appeared in Orders, Conversion Rate, Sales per Item
- Net Sales per Item, Net Sales per List View, Daily Sales
- Days to Finish Inventory, Inventory, Variants with stock ratio
- COGS, Real Margin, Real Margin Multiplier
- Gross Profit, Profit, Gross Item Profit, Item Profit, Profit per List View
These parameters enable you to fine-tune each collection based on market-specific performance, ensuring the most relevant products are prioritized for the right audience.
